Welcome to my little corner of the web. I’m glad you’re here. You may have arrived via a pin on Pinterest, a post of Facebook, or a recommendation from a friend. Perhaps you’re wondering what this blog is all about.
About Lynnae McCoy.com
I write a lot about life. As a Christian, my one purpose in life is to glorify God in all I do. My desire is to encourage others women who are living life with that purpose.
…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:16
My writing is a mix of spiritual and practical. In my own life, I have often struggled to find the balance demands on my time and demands on my finances. And over the course of my life I have discovered many ways to save time and money, so I have time and money left for service to God, family, and others. I don’t know it all, but I love to pass on all I know!
On this blog you’ll find lots of tips to help you grow your faith, encourage your kids in their faith, and glorify God in even the little things..
If you can relate to what I’m saying, you might be interested in subscribing to my weekly email newsletter (form below). Every Saturday you will receive a letter from me with links to all the posts from the previous week, as well as exclusive content reserved for my tribe of email subscribers.
About Lynnae McCoy
Now that you know a little bit about what to expect here, let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I’ve been married to my best friend, Jim, for twenty years. We have three children, a high school senior, a seventh grader, and a kindergartener. Together we live in beautiful Southern Oregon.
I have a B.A. in Sociology from UC San Diego, and I did some graduate work in special education. I happily gave up my career aspirations, though, to be a stay at home mom to my three kids. I used to homeschool the older kids, but last year God has led us to send them back to public school. Even though we were nervous, God was faithful, and the kids adjusted well.
My life has taken many unexpected twists and turns, and through it all, God has shown me that His ways are higher than mine. I’m glad His plan prevailed. I’ve often felt I don’t measure up to other Christian women I admire, but I have come to the realization that God created me uniquely for His purpose – and that my focus needs to be on Him.
In my spare time (when I have any), I love to read anything – fiction, non-fiction – it doesn’t matter. I also love to hang out with my church family, volunteering in ladies Bible study and helping with our annual Christmas program.
