Do you pray for your kids regularly?
Not just a “Lord, please bless Jonny today” prayer, but a deep pleading for God to reach the hearts of your children. Do you pray that kind of prayer?
Maybe it’s because I have teenagers now, but the importance of praying for my children has been weighing heavily on my heart lately.
Whether you send your kids off to school each day or homeschool them, the temptations our kids face are incredible! And we can teach them well, but in the end, prayer is the vessel in which we can partner with God to turn our children’s hearts toward him.
A couple of weeks ago I shared 10 important prayers to pray for your children this school year. Today I am thrilled that my friend Arabah Joy is posting that article on her blog to encourage more parents.Make a commitment to pray for your children this school year.Click To Tweet
And I’d like to share with you a challenge that Arabah Joy has for parents: The 40 Day Praying the Promises for Our Children Challenge. It’s already started, but it’s not too late to sign up!
Whether you pray through the prayers I’ve suggested, take Arabah Joy’s 40 Day Challenge, or pray your own prayers, make a commitment to pray for your kids this year. Your best parenting takes place on your knees.
